America loves a comeback story, and nobody had more to come back from this year than Michael Brodkorb. He had been unceremoniously fired from his top political job after word broke of his affair with his boss, Amy Koch. He sued for wrongful termination, running up a huge bill for taxpayers, then almost killed himself in a drunk driving accident. The easiest thing to do would have been to duck and cover, run and hide, and never be heard from again. But Brodkorb took the tougher route — putting his old skills as an opposition researcher to better use as a blogger at politics.mn, a new website that fills a badly needed niche for sharp-eyed, no-holds-barred political analysis. It remains to be seen whether Brodkorb can continue on the straight and narrow, but for now, as always, Michael Brodkorb has our attention.
