If you think community television is about flipping channels in the wee hours to see what sort of random, sometimes dull, sometimes flat-out weird TV your fellow citizens come up with, you’d be... well, you’d be right, but you’re missing the forest for the trees. For 35 years, MTN has been the go-to source for egalitarian, distinctly Twin Cities programming, not only for the viewer, but for the aspiring producer as well. In addition to its three TV stations and online offerings, MTN offers classes in all areas of video production and editing, as well as in-house video producing services. It’s like a full-service A.V. club for Twin Citians of all ages, not to mention a WTF grab-bag of programming for late-night viewers.
