Diablo Cody has written more than 50 pieces for City Pages since 2004, and her popular blog, Pussy Ranch, is a part of this newspaper's multimedia empire. Meetings with Oliver Stone, John Malkovich, and other show-biz big shots bode well for future screenwriting gigs. The year wrapped with a deal to write a Showtime series, to be developed by DreamWorks TV, following a meeting with Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg. Has all this success prompted Ms. Cody to go all Britney/Lindsay batshit-crazy Hollywood? No, this suburban Chicago transplant is still joyfully ensconced in suburban Minneapolis, keepin' it real with hubby, stepdaughter, chunky cats, and weird Canadian potato chips.
