On the count of three -- October, November, December -- One Two Three Sushi will open a fifth location, its third in the Minneapolis skyway.
Part of the expanding Sushi Avenue empire, One Two Three Sushi rolls out quick-service sushi, ramen, and buns in a Chipotle-style, made-to-order fashion. Its parent company also owns Masu Sushi and Robata.
Details on the new location's menu, as well as an exact opening date, are still in the works. For now, founder and president Nay Hla says the company is expecting a late December or early 2015 opening, and is working on gathering new ingredients for its menu. The new location will also introduce rice bowls to the menu.
The fast casual concept is popular for its customizable sushi rolls. Customers choose from a variety of raw fish, meat, and vegetable fillings, as well as toppings and sauces for their rolls.
One Two Three Sushi is taking over the space formerly occupied by TimeScape watch repair store, in the U.S. Bank Plaza skyway. The new location joins two other One Two Three Sushi stores in the Minneapolis skyway, as well as one in the St. Paul skyway and one in Dinkytown.
